Uzbek or Tajik Chit-Kari wood block print (234 x 129cm)

£ 240.00

234 x 129 cm  //  7ft 8" x 4ft 3"

Despite being only 3/4 of its original size, this fine example of a large cotton wood block print was likely to have originally been made for a quilt. The slubby type heavy cotton weave demonstrates hand spinning (hand woven), consequently imparting a softness of fall in its handle.

Some slight peripheral damage
