Embroidered in silk floss chain stitch onto a fine mill spun madder cotton ground. The silken colours are clear and bright and appear from natural dyes.
As found (AF) - Definition in an imperfect state - distressed through the passage of time.
From abrasion some of the soft floss silk has rubbed off and there is slight uneven fade in an otherwise rich and deep madder red field colour. There is also a darned tear in one section.
