From the island of Flores or East Nusa, Tenggara lies toward the east in the Indoneasian island chain. This handwoven cloth of good weight appears to be of hand-spun cotton yarn. The two back-strap parts are hand-sewn together, making a seam through the centre. The design is not figurative, as the more populous nearby Sumba island ikats. Lkely from the easterly part of Flores main island.
Variable tones due to the use of natural dyes.
