Soma lies some 200km north east of Izmir where these rough block prints were produced, mostly for cotton, down filled bed quilts. This piece compises of narrow 40cm hand-loomed sections and the printing in 4 colours depict jardinières with spiky flowers.
Mounted onto a striped cotton lining - condition good and fresh, although a patch missing in one coner
