This particular group of weavers are attributed by the late Harald Böhmer to the Capodocia region in central Turkey in his famous book Teppiche der Bauern und Nomaden in Anatolien. The principal motif is that of  the Memling gul used on many Turkic rugs.

The fragment is conserved  onto a linen cloth.
