Workshops were created to serve the Anglo Indian market circa 1900 and sold throughout hill stations and cantonments and likely outlets in close-by Lahore and Delhi. Doubtless the clever design was intentionally made for easy shipment. The styling in hardwood such as Padouk and based on earlier Mysore products in a combination of Moorish and Indian taste these tables came in four or five sizes invariably inlaid with either brass, copper, bone and ebony or a combinations. Our table here was made out of a lighter shade of hardwood decorated with brass and copper inlay with ebony stringing.
