Probably made on the Uzbekistan side of the Amu Darya river, which separates Uzbekistan from Northern Afghanistan and marketed either through British Peshawar or Bukhara. This rug may originally have been an Ensi rug that was used to cover the entrance door to a Yurt tent.
Loses to the sides now crudely retained and generally worn overall
