Aghabani  is the name given to Levantine /Syrian silk embroideries. The name purportedly from two Aleppo families said to have started this type of work  Al-Agha and Al-Bani. Confusingly the work in yellow silk chain stitch on a fine lightweight cotton ground may be attributed to Bengal in the form of stoles , shawls and rumals ( square covers ) as in this example. Another previous example we once handled came with the signature including the citation of Syrian city Aleppo. So the later is the more probably attribution
