This fine wool shawl was made when the Victorian bustle fashion predominated circa 1860 which accounts for its very large 10 foot size.
Stylistically it echos the fashion for Kashmir shawls. There are faint traces of discolouration in the white field which are barely discernible otherwise the shawl is in practically mint condition.
