The table has undergone restoration including the removal of the original top of mosaic revealing timber structure of the top beneath which has now been sealed and waxed. The original circular design of the tabletop can still be seen ghosted beneath the sealant. Two small peices at the side of the table are missing. The mosaic comprises of Mother of Pearl, Bone, Tortoiseshell, and types of wood including an ebony type wood all adheared to a lightweight pine carcass.
