The carpet is based on the 'Rose' design by the well known architect C.F. Voysey who designed carpets for the Donegal carpet Factory in Killybegs County Donegal, Ireland. The departure in this piece, is the use of an Art Nouveau type border, whose designer is unknown but likley Belgian.
