These very well
made finely woven carpets were made particularly for the American market during the 1930s and perhaps immediately post WWII. They possess a particularly noticeable unique colour combination.
*AF (as found) Condition: whilst intact and well maintained around the edges, the carpet has become heavily worn and consequently, has undergone being heavily tinted at some stage to reintroduce colour to the worn areas that showed its cotton foundation. What appears a stain in the centre of the carpet is in fact probably where a table once stood.
