More robust than their Afghan counterpart carpets, this antique rug's black colour has oxidised to a degree leaving an etched effect with some of the foundation visible.
The rug has been used as a wall hanging and has a velcro band attached. The principal design is one found in many Turkmen and Turkic rugs (The Balouch are non Turkic).
