244 x 170 cm // 8ft x 5ft 7"
This Ersari ensi rug or Parde as they are known in Afghanistan as a door hanging but was unlikely to have been used due to its unusually large size however the Turkmen culture for such things still persisted at this time and the design is rendered true for such a function. The wool quality is excellent and lustrous in this relatively early example.
Some small areas of wear in places. Supported by a cotton band sewn verso at one end.
