The background is in reflective gold whilst the pattern part standing forwards is of silk. Some slight distress marks from being folded for a long period although the textile has been pressed now which is not evident in these images. We are now keeping this thin and ultra fine textile on a roller.
It is just possible this may have been made by the Lyon based producer Maison Renarde who produced Safavid style weavings. Such small pattern fabrics can be seen used on their handbags in part due to the costly fabrics.
