This small Spanish Andalusian table is done in marquetry, which includes natural shades of wood as well as coloured dyed wood and bone. It recalls a Granada style architecture of Nasrid Islamic medieval Spain, itself, the inspiration for later and revival furniture in Ottoman Syria and its French colonial period between WWI and WWII .
The table has undergone a complete restoration by us and therefore, now in very good order. Some missing parts of marquetry veneer have been filled in to resemble wood.
Very probably the Grenada workshops of Jose Ayala Castro
