This antique silk embroidered suzani was likely made in the vicinity of Bukhara such as the satellite shrine town of Safirkon.

CONSERVATION : Some loose areas and minor losses have been expertly stabilised onto an old cotton material which closely matches the orginal unbleached handspun cotton ground and this additional fabic now acts as a liner.
