From the island of Flores or East Nusa, Tenggara lies toward the east in the Indonesian island chain. This handwoven cloth of good weight appears to be of hand-spun cotton yarn. The two back-strap parts are hand-sewn together, making a seam through the centre. The design is not figurative, as the more populous nearby Sumba island ikats. Likely from the easterly part of Flores main island.
