Caucasian Shirvan antique prayer rug (141 x 117cm)

A wonderful fine antique rug despite its rather battered condition. On close examination the rug appears to be be dated in one corner 128* AH (circa 1865). The rug also features silk highlights in magenta, possibly an insect dye.
