An Eastern Sumba noblewoman's tubular ceremonial dress, lau pahuda, decorated using a complex supplementary warp technique rare in Indonesia.
The weaving tradition was revived enthusiastically in the 1980s with the assistance of the Indonesian government.
Still in the form of a tube and unused. Acquired 1980 by Dr. Fiona Kerlogue (obtained new)
