177 x 149 = 5fy 9" x 4ft 10"

The original purpose of this Azerbaijan Shah Savan warpface jajim would have been that of a coverlet. This fine wool warpface  is made up of several strips. The original weave being that of a long strip cut into parts and fashioned into the square we now see. This is not an adaptation but a deliberate predetermined method of construction.  The term Jajim could be freely translated into English as Picnic cloth.

Some areas have been pierced although not opened as holes.
