Antique Gujarati embroidered silk skirt

This authentic Indian Gujarati skirt is done in very chain stitch embroiderey onto a satin silk indicates an early dating which might possibly be 19th cent since the skirt must have languised unused in a draw somewherein the lapse of time. There is some very slight colour run in the red colour in one section. The peacock which is the main decorative element is native to the area and to Rajasthan the neighbouring state. The draw string closing allows any fit.
