Indian vintage Agra rug (173 x 125cm)

The weaving characteristics of this unusual rug reveal it to be of an Agra type construction. The ground colour changes in about a quarter of the rug, showing that the weavers ran out of the darker colour. There are same worn parts within the darker brown colour toward where the change occurs.
