Talish type Caucasian antique runner (290 x 97cm ) *AF

With old repairs - worn AF* 3.5 medallions on blue ground.

* As Found. Very worn with old repairs but intact albeit with fraying edges and much foundation showing . The pink colours  may be the local Armenian cochineal rather than new world cochineal. The peculiar blue selvedge re-enforcement betrays the likelihood this runner emanates from a Talish area Khanate in the southern Caucasus. 

Mid or Second half 19th c. the runner is possibly older than imagined. 

Used on the floor with an underlay is strongly recommended.
