The square decorative parts of the runner are embossed or sculpted from a thick heavy pile. Woven in the unique Tibetan manner, which involves cutting loops that surround a rod - by the Tibetan minority within Nepal the descendants of refugees who fled Chinese rule in early 1950s.
Currently the runner is being washed and treated (July 2025)
