The wool of this rug is very lustrous and silky and general tone is whiter than the yellow shade as portrayed in some of these images herewith taken under artificial light. The difference in colour depends on which direction the pile is viewed.
The impression may be given of horizontal brownish bands which unfortunately is a trick of photography . This was where the wool was temporarily compressed from folding.
