A new edition by Marino and Clara Dall'Oglio. In the early part of this century it was realised that the many hundreds of Turkish carpets decorating remote Transylvanian churches were an important record of an age of Turkish weaving whose products had otherwise largely vanished. The thirty pieces shown here are representative of the many Transylvanians assembled for the Budapest exhibition of 1914.
