These distinguished carpets are typified by a corrosive effect of oxidisation to the green colour which presumably incorporated copper sulphates in the dye. The effect us seen in relief most typically as seen here . The weaving quality or the workshops themselves did not survive into the 20th cent with the product homogenised into the greater Arak region. Made or surviving ( rarely in small sizes ) these carpets tend to be oversized and are to be found often surviving in the grand Victorian houses of Scotland.
