Khamseh rug Fars province (278 x 159cm)

The rug is emblazoned with an inventory chain stitch embroidered number with initials on the back corner of the carpet - a distinctive feature of items sold through the Shiraz bazaar.

The carpet is in useable condition with some old darned repairs however the work could be improved with better restoration. The carpet with this additional work would bring up the price to £1500.
