The ill fated Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand together with Duchess Sophie Hoenburg depicted here on this 1912 small mat. Likely the product of an Armenian Sivas workshop in Turkey. The doomed couple meeting with the notorious assassination in Sarajevo 1914 taking an unscheduled route in an open top car.
