Balouchistan fine antique part silk rug (168 x 104cm)

This fine antique Balouch rug is looking a bit battered in places however the pile quality is generally good and unworn with the sort lustrous wool one only sees from a fleece that has been graded with the best under-neck and under-belly wool taken from a separated clip. There are a couple of small silk details dyed from what looks to be lac dye unlike the wool which is almost certainly madder Rubia Tinctourum
