Turkish Anatolian antique kilim fragment (174 x 163cm)

In stunning clear colours, this large fragment represents a little less than half of what the original size once was. Made in the Aksaray region of Asia Minor as two mirror image parts and joined. This practice was necessitated from having only narrow looms given the weaver probably migrated from a winter home to a summer migration.
