This colourful and attractive small peice of antique silk ikat has been assembled from strips removed from the inside of chapan (robe) and joined togther to replicate the full width of the original textile. Having never been subjected to UV the colour retains its full vigor. Backed with a 20th cent printed cotton and edged with a plain mauve silk.
