Originally part of a kind of portmanteau luggage case ( mafrash ) this section would have formed the side part of a three dimensional container which would have been used for bedding in daytime doubling as storage container on migration. Made in a very robust flatweave soumak technique. nicely finished the small peice would make a useful small mat.
