European Amorial silk cushion cover (54 x 63cm)

54 x 63 cm  //  1 ft 9" x 2ft 1"

This fantasy artefact is made up from three variously acquired pieces and arranged in an idealised form to form a cushion cover. The Coat of Arms shield is as yet unknown heraldry and unread. The four elements comprises of:

• applied coat of arms - of unknown date
• broad silver braid 18/19th C
• pale blue silk damask, probably 18th C
• backing - modern silk

Some impercepable staining front side and a more obvious stain verso.
