Admirably a very high quality carpet, easily mistaken as latter day Heriz with its cotton foundation. The carpet appears to have been made around the Manisa region of Western Turkiye, presumably the product of a short lived workshop. Certain technical features like the cutting back of the black outline in relief and the general wool texture
betrays its origin.
Enhanced by an untypical red border rather than that of blue in an original artefact.
Slight fringe loss, otherwise in excellent condition
