64 x 84cm
From the Caspian port of Restch that once imported British ( from the likes of the Stroud mills ) and later Muscovite broadloom felted wool cloth. Made up in applique technique with lines of embroidery to disguise the joins and further embellishments. The fragment is made up from four joined parts. The drawing is particularly accomplished and the piece comes from a distinguished collection.
