Turkish antique Ghiordes narrow runner (455 x 57cm)

This highly original narrow runner at first appears to be a fragment taken from a NWP carpet, however it is quite complete. Typical of carpets from Ghiordes prior to the end of the 19th cent using cochineal colours. The runner is not a fragment although one end is repaired and thus the runner may have may have been shortened at some point.
