Turkish carpets particularly large carpets produced in the historic Ushak vicinity of Western Turkey have previously gone by the rather catch all title ‘Turkey carpet‘ since 16th century. The early 20th cent red Turkey variant such as this example were produced in quantity from 1925 to 1940.

Reduced in size 'cut and shut' to make up narrow rug
