Turkish silk hamam cloth (170 x 106 cm)

Intended for use in a Turkish Bath ( Hamam ) ‘ peshtemal ‘ waist cloth or formal towel  . Seemingly never used and in as new condition.  A somewhat superior version of the a mundane caranesse cotton chequered cloth said to derive from Antioch. This silk example likely to be from Bursa in West Turkey.
