This modern rug has been imported by the famous a famous Swiss company better known for their pioneering work with high quality Gabbeh rugs. At present it is difficult to determin the origin of this rug which might be variously described as either Afshar or Azarbiajan. Given that they collect their goods from the Fars region the more likely attribution would be the Turkish speaking Afshar group. It is also interesting to compare this with our antique Afshar small carpet Ref. 16491
